I’ve been very lucky with where life has taken me. I have not exactly had a ‘normal’ life. I’ve never done 9-5, nor have I worked in an office…mmm does 2 months being a‘ temp’ count? My lifestyle is not for everyone (so some friends say) but I’m pretty happy with it. I’ve had 8 years in the radio industry in Australia: on-air, music programming, meeting & interviewing famous people while living in different states to where I grew up.
It’s not exactly nomadic now because I tend to have a roof over my head and do have a job for most of the year – I just tend to move cities or countries between 1 day to 4 months.
Somehow after a fantastic 8 years in radio, I landed an even more amazing job of being a Tour Manager/Travel Director in Europe. Basically I take up to 52 people on a coach around Europe. My shortest trip = 6 days. My longest trip = 45 days. It’s amazing. It’s tiring. It’s rewarding. It’s frustrating at times. In this job we see all kinds of personalities, meet some amazing people and have incredible experiences. It’s been nine years running 80 tours, visiting 50+ countries (only) not just for work but my own adventures. I started this site mostly as a creative outlet for my travels and to share my favourite pictures. I hope you enjoy them.
I did start out with a backpack but over the years I’m more a suitcase person; the largest Samsonite hard case you can find! For all my shoes In saying, that only I’m days away from starting my Central American adventure with a backpack/2 wheels bag which is slightly more appropriate when I know I’m at homesteads and venues with no elevators.
